With advice on everything from preparing a meal "seasoned with love" to being a "tantalizing temptress" between the sheets this book would be a humorous hit at a bridal shower or bachelorette party.
Trust me, I searched the shelves for the reciprocal version for the Good Husband. It didn't exist. Go figure.
And if that doesn't trip your trigger, you've just gotta see this adorable book bag.
I be entered in the drawing for this book and book bag just leave a comment here. Answer the question, what is the worst book you've ever read? Or what is a book you started to read but just couldn't finish?
I joined a book swap on a blog and received "Rebecca". I've heard that it's a really great book but it was written in the 30's and is so old fashioned to try to read that I just can't get into it. I feel bad, but I'd rather read fluff:)
ReplyDeleteI just could not get through Middlesex. It sat on my desk at work for over a year after only having read 50 pages in that year timeframe because it hurt me to do so. I donated it once I accepted it would never be read.
ReplyDeleteAnything by Nicholas Sparks.
ReplyDeleteI have started reading Catch 22 at least 15 times and I just can't seem to finish it. I will one day. It's on my bucket list now.
ReplyDeleteI thought i would read "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus", you know to see what all the hype was about....boy am i glad i bought it at a second hand book store, because i can never get past page 25 or so!

I have to laugh, because I am currently skimming a book that I hate: What to Expect When You're Expecting. It tells me that I should be worried out of my mind about all of these bad things that could be happening to my baby!! Really?! Can't I just enjoy being pregnant and trust that God has my baby's life and health in His hands?! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way - you didn't put a giveaway under ALL the tabs - you forgot the "About Me" tab. Maybe, instead of a giveaway, you should just let us know what your all-time favorite book is?! Just a thought!
I started the book, “In God’s Name—An Investigation into the Murder of Pope John Paul I” by David Yallop, but I never finished it. The book was highly recommended, but I guess the conspiracy theories didn’t interest me.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always told me to read at least the first 100 pages of a book before deciding if you wanted to continue with it or not. I still like to follow this advice (thanks, mom).
Lord of the Rings. My husband so badly wanted me to enjoy them like his does but they are so slow moving I could only read a couple pages before I would put it down.
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law recommended a book for me. I really wanted to enjoy it, but I eventually had to put it down. I still sort of feel bad about it, but since I can't even remember the name of it anymore, it must be better to let it go!
