And a few books I've started and put down more than once... meaning to finish. If I'm ever in the right frame of mind.
I used to be pretty dogged. Suffering through books I didn't like for art's sake. Not any more. Too many good books. Too little time.
For some reason I've started the Inheritance of Loss a couple of time and never finished. Although almost everyone I know has read it and loved it. I guess I keep getting distracted.
And, of course, War and Peace sits atop my bookshelf. Looking impressive. Untouched. Taunting me. "You will never read me. You will never have enough time. You were kidding yourself when you bought me. I was a complete waste of money. Even though I was on sale."
Cindy is our winner. She's never been able to get through Middlesex. I've never read it either.
Bu now she's got this cute felt bag to carry the books she does decide to read. Or anything else she needs to take along with her.
And, she's got this hilarious, retro guide to being a good wife. Not that she needs any advice on that front.
Props to Tiffany L. who discovered that, in fact, there is a male counterpart to this book called, "The Good Husband." 'Bout time.
