"Who's Texting and Driving"

The most revealing thing about this StarTribune article wasn't the fact that grownups text and drive about as often as teens. I've witnessed that myself.

The most interesting thing was the description of the impact texting has on a person's ability to drive. According to one study, if you text you take your eyes off the road on average for up to 4.6 of every 6 seconds. That's the equivalent of driving the length of a football field at 55 miles per hour without looking up once.

  1. I get so mad when I see people on their phones (just talking, not even texting) and they are driving stupid. Last week, I saw a guy texting, while riding a motorcycle!!! Unbelievable.
